Martin has worked in ELT and for 20 years and been involved with intercultural ethics and equality issues throughout this time, speaking in front of governments, departments of International Trade, and conferences worldwide. He won a Commendation for Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion at the British Council ELTons Awards 2020, initiated and presented the UK's national Dyslexia In Business award between 2004 and 2007, and sits on international advisory committees for inclusion and neurodiversity. He holds visiting lectureships at universities in Britain, Germany, France, and Russia, has been working at York Associates for twelve years training educators and businesspeople from around the European Union, and is published in academic journals internationally.
Currently involved with European projects to provide an interculturally-consistent measuring tool for dyslexia assessment across the EU, and to deliver online SEN teacher training to schools throughout the continent, Martin runs the Dyslexia Bytes project (www.dyslexiabytes.org), and has recently completed his PhD in equality and ethics at the University of York, England.
